I'm a little afraid to put in my 18inch extensions because I have pretty thick hair that's shoulder length. I don't want my hair to look like a mullet, I want to finally have long scene hair since I've had short all this time. My real hair is black and the extensions are platinum blond and I'm going to be adding purple pink blue and striped clip in ones. It sounds like it would be so cool. Could anyone help me so i don't s***w this up? Otherwise I wasted like $150

  1. It helps alot if your hair is layered or thinned out toward the bottom.  You want to make sure that you have enough extentions to spread them out kind of evenly around your head.  Most of the ext. should be in the back, since naturally we have less hair in the front anyway.  try dividing them into like 3 peices and doing one and the low part of yourhair, about 3" above your hairline at the back of your neck and then another row a few inches above that, and then one more upward towards the crown of your head.  I would try the placement with bobby pins first to kind of feel out where they should go.  And have a friend there to help you see what you are doing!!!  Otherwise you could take your ext. into a salon with a pic. of what you are going for and see if they can give you some advice. Or evenn put them in for you?!

  2. i suggest getting your hair thinned before putting them in, if not you can consider maybe either cutting the extentions to your hair length or waiting for your hair to grow out more.

  3. dude, i'd return them they don't last long and they do sadly look fake!  I'd say get some full clip in ones! they are about half the price and you are able to use them longer, also if you don't feel like having long hair for a day, you don't have to wear them, or even if you went swimming or 4wheeling or anything you wouldn't have to worry about them getting extremely gross!

Clip in's are the only way if you are going to do it yourself (:
