I have signed up to groups on yahoo groups and cannot unsubscribe even when I follow the link.?

Question

Has anyone got any advice on this matter as I am being bombarded with spam and so many emails I cannot cope. Thanks

Yahoo has several ways to unsubscribe from a Group, but not alll of them work at the same speed.  I have heard that trying to unsubscribe by e-mail (by sending a blank message to [e-mail] ) works slowly, sometimes very slowly.  It's quicker to unsubscribe on the web.  There are two ways to do this.

(1) Log in to your Group's home page on the web.  Click on Edit Membership in the middle of the top line (just below the ad if there is one).  Then click the Leave Group button in the lower-right-hand corner of the resulting page.  Then follow the directions on the next page.

(2) Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups?o=2&edi... .  Find the name of the Group you want to leave in the left-hand column.  On the right-hand side of that line is a Leave Group check-box; check it.  Don't forget to click the Save Cahnges button when you're done.

the fastest way:  Go to the group's  site, click on edit membership along the top.  In the next window scroll down and tick leave group Click save changes and you should be out.  It may take a day to take effect.
