Sky would not have to come out. They will need your new version and serial number of HD box,

Go to Services, system set up, system details and get the relevant numbers and call Sky.

If you have had the sky plus subscription for less than 12 months they may charge a fee to change it over.

the card would have to paired to the box a telephone call can do it have you serial number ready for both the old box and the new before you call
