this is what really happened, we had fish last week and i think i did swallow a nasty bone after which i felt discomfort in my throat. Now my partner said that the bone aint there but just made a scartch in my tonsils thats why im having discomfort. Now a week has passed and the discomfort, though not painful runs down at the back slightly above my chest area. Should I be worried? I dont have any problems breathing though.

  1. Worried?  Never.  Concerned?  Possibly.  To guard against infection, or get rid of one, gargle with salt water.  Germs cannot survive in saline solution.  Last week is a least 6 days.  Long time.  Salt solution works fast if infection is what it is.

  2. Your partner is probably right.  Keep an eye on it though.  If it doesn't improve or you have difficulty swallowing or breathing, see help of a health care provider.

  3. id go to the doctor , you dont want the strach to get infected but it probably already has

  4. isn't, not ain't.  you may be getting a sore throat.  if you smoke, that explains all sorts of things

  5. I think maybe if you swallowed a bone, the pain should be gone by now. Either it would be washed down or it just scratched you.  It sounds to me like it is either lodged, or the scratch has become infected, or maybe you got a sore throat coincidentally at that time.

I would definitely give my doc a call to see if they feel you should come in.
