I used so much orajel that I wore my gum just below molar of inside lower left jawbone. I went to the dentist and some bone is showing and a sliver of bone coming through gum which is sore. Can gums grow back when bone is showing on lower jaw and how long does it take for the sliver of bone to come out? I have to do a follow up in 2 weeks. And I never had any teeth extractions.

  1. my dad insists that his sonicare toothbrush helped his receeding gumline come back.  I have to say myself that is does work extremely well.  I would try that.  It's expensive, but lasts many years and is great for you teeth and gums.

  2. i dont really know

  3. oh my god... that is making me cringe..im sorry that must really suck..i have no idea and i had no idea orajel could do that to you.. maybe just go to the dentist.. yikes!

  4. I have had bone pierce my gums - I never waited for them to come out, I went to the oral surgeon and he removed them for me.  In one case I had osteomylitis of the jawbone following an extraction and had to take antibiotics.  In another case he told me it was like a bone "pimple" and they seem to have no specific cause. If your dentist had any experience with these he would know the pain is too bad to take for 2 weeks.  Don't wait, call and tell them you need something done now, and can they recommend an oral surgeon.

  5. don't know

  6. my mom had that i think it took her like 2 weeks and yes ur gums will grow back
