  1. I actually had a sludge problem as well.  My doctor told me to avoid foods that caused me to have the same symptoms, (along with a lot of belching and serious pain!)...or to have it taken out...I chose to have it taken out, and I had no problems....It was the best thing to do...

I would talk to another doctor....

  2. there's got to be a reason he won't do surgery. need to find out the reason why before you waste money on a second opinion. unfortunately every patient has to be their own advocate for their health--if you really feel like your doc is doing you unjust find another one

  3. It was my 40th birthday when I had my first gallbladder attack-severe pain was involved, as you describe.  As time went on I had 2 emergengy room visits and then my regular doctor, who ordered an ultrasound. Finally had surgery 5 months  after the first attack.  Iwas a junk food junkie and had to try to eat low fat to keep from getting attacks.  I felt fine after the surgery(removal of gallbladder).

  4. do a gall bladder flush for a week  you can find it on the internet under gall bladder flush

  5. well, how long until the test results are back?? If it comes back negative, I'd definitely get a second opinion.

Doctors can be really careless sometimes. It took almost a year and some odd hundred emergency visits until my stepmom finally got a doctor that diagnosed her with freaking appendicitis!!!!! *rolls eyes*

  6. This is not a critical issue.  No second opinion yet.  Wait for test results, and see if meds can correct that dysfunction.  Surgery has risks, waiting will be safe - take Gravol in low doses and drink water for detoxification.

  7. Gallbladder sludge consists of cholesterol microcrystals and calcium bilirubinate in a thick mucin gel matrix. It may precede stone formation or spontaneously disappear. This is why ishe's waiting for some time, to see how it evolves. Problem is, you can develop some serious conditions if left for too long, like acute pancreatitis or acute cholangitis.

If i were you, i'd look for a second opinion, soon.

  8. Hmmm....    get a second or third opinion. Until then, drink lots of water, prune juice, etc

  9. If you are still feeling sick, I would insist on more tests immediately or get a second opinion
