I believe it may be a juniper, but I cannot walk in my yard without shoes. The needles will stick into your skin and it will hurt for awhile after. They have been impossible to kill so far.

I have it in my yard and I once grabbed some catnip for my cat to realize I had grabbed stinging nettle..ouch!!

    where do you live?

  4. It's sounds like you have thistles. We had them 3 years ago when we moved here. We started putting lawn fertilizer on the lawn, the kind that kills broad leaf plants but not the grass in the spring and summer that took care of them.  Except we do live in the country and the wind carries the seeds back, that's why we apply it every year.

  5. it's doubtrful that it's juniper. can you provide a picture? without a picture, we cant give you any input.

kill them with a good photosynthesis inhibitor.

  6. you should ask your local plant nursery
