I have some free time lately. What should I focus on: literature, learning a language, or art (drawing)?

My brother says I should do all 3: read, study, and draw. But IDK.

  1. If you have a really really long free time (I mean like more than 6 months?) I suggest that you should learn a language. It's kind of hard, so you really have to try!

Well, if you only have like.. 2-5 months, you should focus on literature. Literature has been a fun escape when I got bored on my holiday.

Finally, for something that's quick, it's ART! I personally think that drawing's best even when you're not so busy.

3 of them are really fun to do. My last suggestion is: in everything you do, you must put your best effort!! If you're too tired to do all 3 of them, pick 1 :)

Make sure you're having fun too.

    Good luck!

  2. Depends on what stage of your life you're in now and where you want to go (and how bad you want to get there!)

A second language will help for school, jobs, and just to deal better with the world in the future if you're young.

Art... you can do this during your entire lifetime. If you just want something fun to do and don't need to worry about having another language for a job or school, this would be super fun.

Literature? I think you can do this one on top of either or both of the others. Just read like before bed and always have a book with you if you have to kill time.

If you do all three you'd almost need to put your main focus on the language but that could work. Challenge yourself! You can always let one go if it isn't rockin' your boat, but you'll never know if you don't try!

  3. Literature.  Start with classics, work up to modern day.  Learning a language is hard - very intensive study - how much free time do you have?

  4. Depending on your situation, of course...

Language would have the biggest effect on your life - opening up many doors (including the ability to learn more of the literature or art from another culture if you ever decide to).  It would certainly be the best choice.

However, it's also going to need a lot more time and effort.  A bit of free time isn't really enough to learn a language.  If you just want to relax and not have to put in too much effort - literature would be the easiest.

  5. Focus on thinking for yourself and making your own decisions about what is important to you.

  6. I would catch up on reading some of the finest works in literature.  It helps us gain new perspectives in life and transports in to worlds we could never imagine.

  7. learning language is the key which  will open the world door ..you can chose literature subject in that new language and the art of that language country ,, so in this way U can shoot 3 birds in one stone !

  8. I say something relaxing....if learning stresses u out...then keep to drawing or something expressive. if you are looking for a mission...learn a new language.....
