On the left side of my inner bottom lip i don't remember biting it at all...

It is a white sore and when I close my mouth there is like a big bump that is sadly visible and a little bit of the sore it is like ( ) that big. I am really embarrassed. it really hurts really really bad I don' know why! It is my time to go to the dentist but wan to get rid of this sore before go to the dentist which is the 4th or 5th. It is already gonna hurt when I go to the dentist and I really don't want it to hurt more!!!

What is this?

Is there anything to do to get rid of it before I go to dentist?

  1. Sounds like an ulcer. They are really common but just to be sure pop to the doctors and get it checked out.

  2. Yes, it sounds like a canker sore to me. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water  throughout the day. It is not from a lack of oral hygiene. It is usually caused by some kind of infliction to the inside of your mouth. i.e. like if you were brushing your teeth and the tooth brush slipped and hit you between your lip and gums... COLD SORES DO NOT FORM INSIDE THE MOUTH. Yes cold sore are the same virus as herpes BUT that is not what you have so don't freak! Even if you did have a cold sore, it doesn't mean you have an STD either.

P.S. Use Colgate Orabase on it. It helps with the pain. It is found in the toothpaste aisle. Canker sores can last approx. 10-14 days before it is completely gone. Only the first 3 or 4 day does it hurt. The salt water helps it heal. Avoid acidic foods like lemons and even sometimes spaghetti sauce irritates it.

  3. sounds to me like a normal mouth sore....listerine mouth wash works wonders for me when it comes to them..i say listerine because it has alcohol in it and helps to clean...good luck  with whatever you decide to do :)

  4. This is a mouth ulcer, they are caused I'm sorry to say by a lack of oral hygene. See your local pharmacist who can give you a soothing gel to apply to it. It should clear up in a few days, but if it persists, see your doctor about the problem.

  5. um i have no idea.... sorry

do you have a picture of it?>

  6. I am pretty sure it is herpes.

  7. Rub salt to the sore with your fingers several times in a day. It might sting and burn and bleed too but if you can do it, it will heal faster. That is the most effective anti-septic and fast healing remedy ever. Once the sore starts to subside apply thin coat of vaseline.

  8. i got those alot when i had braces and what i did was i took a raysin and cut it in half.. like dry the area of the sore and then rub the raysin jucies and stuff on the area it really helped me like i couldnt even talk it was so bad and i did the raysin thing and it was soo much better.. hope i helped=]

  9. it may be very simple ulcer, but to be sure let ur dentist have a look, it may be due to sharp teeth.

any way mostly it won't be that painfull by the 5th (if present at all!)

take care of ur general health and nutrition.

  10. I believe it's a canker sore, is it kind of like the picture in the link VVV

I get those all the time.  Canker sores maybe sign that you need to eat more vitamins. Canker sores usually last from a week to 2 weeks.  If it is the below here are some remedies.

-Add some salt in water and stir it so that the salt gets everywhere in the water.  Then swish it in your mouth and spit.

-Add baking soda, lime/lemon juice/or freshly squeezed, and salt and mix it together.  It may taste bad.  Again swish it in your mouth, which may sting, and then spit it out.

-You can also get something called Canker Cover at your local drugstore.  It is a patch that covers the canker sore and usually helps heal it.

*Also to keep your canker sore clean you can put toothpaste on it or just brush it.  I also sometimes use mouthwash.  I heard that licerine mouth wash is bad for it though, or whatever.

    Goodluck!

  11. Try salt water, it's a cure all. It should shrink it. It's probably a cold sore.

  12. It sounds like a canker sore.  A lot of times toothpaste with SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate aggravates these and makes them worse.  Try using a toothpaste without SLS, it worked for me.

  13. PROLLY A COLD SORE...WHICH IS IN FACT, HERPES... GO TO THE DR, GET SOME ZOVERAX...
