  1. I agree with the other answers in that you will have to buy a DVD burner.  If you have a tower PC with an open bay you can buy one for pretty cheap but it will cost if you can't install it yourself.

You can also purchase an external DVD burner that connects via USB port.  You can connect it to and use it with pretty much any computer.  You won't have to worry about physically installing the drive, but you will pay more for one of these types of drives.

    Try looking on tigerdirect.com , newegg.com , buy.com , etc.

  2. No, you will have to get a DVD burner. It's much easier just to get an external USB DVD burner, and it hardly costs that much extra. I don't really think the brand matters either, I'm using an external DVD writer from Lite-on and it works fine.

Nearly every online electronics shop will sell one, so it makes sense to shop around a bit first to find the best deal. Amazon is always a great, but looking at a price comparison like: http://www.idealo.co.uk/cat/3406F767988/... won't hurt either.

The other good thing about DVD writers is that with the right software (www.dvdshrink.org/ and NERO) you can easily burn backups of DVD movies, which is much better than downloading.

  3. not at all, you need to install a dvd writer

  4. You'll need to buy a new DVD-drive that allows you to burn DVDs. They're not too expensive (you can usually find cheap ones for $40 or so).
