Question:

I have some old Hot Wheels (20 yrs old) in their original package. Does anyone know about the cost estimation?

They are the kind that when you put them in hot or cold water they change color depending on the temperature.

  1. Not much.. the color changers never caught on with mainstream collectors and haven't risen much in value over the decades. I would say maybe $15-20 per package tops. A lot of the price guides out there do not even include them in their lists.


  2. try looking at www.ebay.com look for cars similar to yours and this will give you a good idea on their value.

  3. some are worth $5 to $10 but if you have some rare ones they could be worth hundreds.

    check ebay for auctions that have ended, that's a fair estimate of what the going rate is.

    check your library for these books.
