  1. stampwants is an online auction only for stamps and coins. It was set up because eBay charges were exhorbitant. It's much cheaper than eBay and easier to use. (Tagger's advice is excellent. Do your homework first or you'll probably not get a fair price.)

  3. You can contact any local auctioneer, go to a hobby shop, that sells coins and stamps,place an ad in the local paper,find a local stamp collecting club...many other ways. Value can also be found on eBay,reference books at the library or bookstore(YOU SHOULD DO SOME HOMEWORK BEFORE APPROACHING OTHERS TO SELL OR GIVE A PRICE). My auction house(Russano Auctions) always shows con signers what we expect the value to be. Usually 25 to 45% of book value. Condition also matters. Tagger
