I have speakers in my ceiling that were built with the house that wont go loud. How do i make them louder?

The two speakers in the ceiling of my room are weired down to a audio plug in my wall.

The plug is the same type of plug u use for ur head phones.

Do i need a special type of amp

How much will this cost

  1. What kind of amp is driving it now?  What kind of speakers do you have?  Without that info it is hard to say what you should do.  If the amp is low wattage you can try getting one with more wattage.  However, it would be good to know how much power your speakers are rated for.  You may have very good speakers with a very low power amp or you could have a good amp with poor speakers.  Or if you are really unlucky you could have an anemic amp and crappy speakers.


  2. Just try getting new speaker but if you can't use a amplifier if you can't get a 3.5mm jack(the headphone ones) amplifier just cut the cable from the speakres and use a regular amplifire

  3. Blow them out and buy some new ones or either that or get some REAL speakers. I suggest the Sony SSF550. :P
