Ok, well when I was a young lad (up to around 11) I had speaking problems and went to a special teacher at my school. That problem was mostly with saying letters, and it cleared up. But nowadays, I have two new speaking problems. I stutter and mumble and speak monotone. Anyone have any ways for me to prevent/cure these three problems? Thanks in advance

  1. When I am stressed I tent to stutter. I don't mean in stressfull situations but periods of stress or tiredness.  If you notice you are stuttering more try to give yourself a break, keep things simple.  I don't take on too much work these days, and If I'm really tired I ignore the house work.  I take my stuttering as a sign that I'm doing too much.

Mumbling could be due to low confidence because of the stuttering?

I'm only familiar with monatone speech being something that a person does from when they first learned to speak.  I've not heard of someone developing this.  Are you sure that this hasn't been there all along but you've only just become aware of it?

I hope you figure out what works for you.

  2. did u check with your doctor? with the problem you're having, I think you should go to a speech therapist. they might be able to improve your speaking skills.
