I have started a group but is there an option where the messages are not always displayed for everyone to see?

I have started a group and I want to know if all the messages posted to the group are always displayed so that everyone can see what has been written? Is there a way for 2 people to send messages to each other with out it being posted for all to see? All messages have to be approved by the moderator.

  1. managment- under group settings click messages- messages and archives (edit)<-- click the edit- scroll to archive options- if you select anyone, non members will see the posts. if you select members, only members will see them. select choice- click save changes


  2. Yes. You can send a individual/private message to your members by:

    1. Sign into Yahoo! Groups

    2. Click the name of the group that you would like to send a pivate message.

    3. Click the "Members" link  on the left panel of the group's page.

    4. From there you will see a list of the member's email addresses.

    5. Under Email Delivery column click on the member email address who you wish to send a message.

    6. Type in your message for the member in the text box.

    7. Then, click the "Send Message" button when finished.
