I have started a group to have a safe place to recieve and give inspiration, encouragement, love, laughs, etc.

Question

i am having a hard time finding my way around to make sure the group comes up in searches so people can see it.

any suggestions on how to do so, i have gone to the help pages and followed the directions, but i still dont see my group come up in any searches and i cant add it to my 360 page either

If you just started your group, it can take up to a week for a new group to be placed in the Groups Directory and show up in the Yahoo Group Search.

To search for your group, go to http://groups.yahoo.com

Near top of page and underneath "Find a Yahoo! Group", type your group's name in the blank field and click "Search".  If your group has already been entered into the Group Directory by Yahoo, this will pull up a list of groups with your group's name at the top of list and other groups with similar titles.  If it hasn't been processed yet by Yahoo, just be patient and it will show up in a day or so.

The 360 pages are erratic now; sometimes the "Add your group" feature will work, sometimes it doesn't.  Changes are being made in that area - it is rumoured that eventually 360 will be replaced by another Yahoo feature that hopefully works better.  Hang in there!
