I have static on my tv...?

It doesn't make noise, just gives me a bad picture... How do I fix this? I unplugged the cable on both ends and still nothing? I need help!!!

Are you connecting your Cable RF connector to the wrong antenna input jack?  Some use dual antenna inputs and one is for Cable the other is for UHF/VHF...it doesn't work on that one.....

If you're using HDMI with a Cable box, I have seen some that have a little snowyness in black scenes...Can't figure out WHY it happens, but it happens in all brands, and I suspect it's related to the signal and not the TV set....

If you get it using Component connections, then it MIGHT be the signal  <OR> the cable box causing that !

And....unplugging the RF cable does not RESET the microprocessors...unplugging the AC Power Cord does...do it for 5 minutes on both the TV set and the Cable / Satellite box as the first step in isolating your problem....
