Question:

I have stopped losing weight!!!?

I'm 14 years old male 161 pounds,i have recently lost 2 stone and have all of a sudden stopped losing weight, i lift weights eat healthier than the average 14 year old,yet i am 3 stone heavier than most my age I'm very concerned i don't run alot is that the problem or is it genetics,or should i go on a carb diet,i need some advice on what i should do,i know some people say your perfect the way u are but i am always trying to better myself and i can see alot of room for improvement on my body.

  1. if your doing a lot of weight lifting you might just be gaining a little bit of muscle thats why remember muscle is heavier then fat  


  2. at 5'11 youre not very overweight however i would recomend doing more excersise. lifting weigts really isn't enough. do you or your friend have a pool? swimming is an awesome way to burn some calories. if its your stomache, try doing crunches and sit ups every morning and every night untill you see a difference. also, focus on eating tiny, healthy meals every two hours rather than only a few larger meals each day. if this still isn't working for you, you can cut certain foods out of your diet. red meats are extremely fatty so they can go but make sure you eat enough protein and iron to make up for it. also anything white(pasta, rice etc.) contains lots of carbs so try switching to whole grain. Eat more fruit and veggies. most contain negitive calories so you'll actually burn calories just by eating them!! (google negitive calorie foods). but please don't get too carried away. your too young to be worrying about how much you weigh. and please don't starve yourself either-its the WORST possible thing you could do for yourself.   3. muscle weighs alot mroe than fat so you are bound to be heavier and the taller you are the heavier you will be too-don't worry about your weight nad you may nto have stopped losing weight-it could just ahve slowed down but 2 stone is Alot.It's probably just you have reached your ideal weight for You.don't compare yourself to others-the sound pretty weedy if they are 3 stone lighter than you!Us girls prefer the fit guys to the thin and scrawny and i bet your arms are great! x

  4. Don't give up...continue what you are doing...we all go through the same thing while exercising...you'll start losing again...

This is nothing unusual , as You lose weight  , You dont burn as much calories as before  when You were heavier.I wasnt able to lose fat no matter how healthy my diet was ..So i added  some healthy fats to my diet .  Whatever You do  , do not starve yourself . Your metabolism will slow down if You do. Just increase the intensity of Your exercise and You should be fine.

  6. your body is probably use to your routine, so now you need variety to change your workouts so your body becomes shocked and works harder equaling more weight loss

    so now your at cruise control time to step it up
