My period is two weeks late. I am not sure if I should call and make an appointment with my OBGYN or just wait and see if my period shows up? How long should I wait before I see my dr if I still don't have my period?

  1. go to the store and buy a test.  that will tell you

always good to have a check up at the doc.. somthing elese could be going on.

  2. Wait a few days and retest.Use 1st morning urine as hcg levels are stronger. If negitive then go and see your doctor. Its hard to predict when your periods are iregular, especailly if your unsure of when you may  of conceived or ovulated.

  3. When you took the tests, did you use first morning urine? Did you have unprotected s*x, or are you trying to get pregnant?

If not, then I would wait a few more days, and then try again, with a different test brand, and first morning urine.

If yes, then I would go ahead and call your doctor. It could be a week or more before they have an open appointment, but there could be something wrong, or you are pregnant and one of the few women whose bodies just don't trigger and over-the-counter test.

Also, it could just be stress delaying your period. If you're constantly thinking about whether you're pregnant or not, sometimes your body will respond to that by acting like it is, even when it's not. Or maybe there are stresses at work, with family, maybe your car is in the shop, or something.

Make your appointment, and then try to let it go until your doctor visit.

If your period comes, you can always cancel the appointment!

Good luck, and I hope you get the results you are hoping for!
