In most states, insurance carriers are required to give you either your renewal offer or notice of non-renewal 90 days before your policy expires.  If you haven't received anything yet, you should call your agent or broker.

Since you took the policy last April your premium is due. As K C Intli said you do have a grace period of one month. So go to the nearest LIC office with your Policy number and pay the premium.

You can pay either by cash or cheque. You will need to fill up a form with the details of your policy. If you are paying by cheque write your name and policy number behind the cheque.

Your LIC agent should remind you whenever payments are due.
