I have taken too much tramadol?

I have taken 200mg of tramadol, twice my recommended dose by accident, am I going to die?

No. You won't die, however you may want someone to be in the house for the next 4 - 6 hours to just check up on you every once in a while - just in case.

It will make you drowsy and maybe see pink elephants but that's about it.

I was on 100mg for a knee recon earlier this year and did the exact same thing. (took twice my recommended dose)

It only made me more drowsy and a lil more weird lol.

I saw stars and apparently my sentences were muddled up. :P

Aside from that, do not make a habit of it as it is a powerful painkiller and it will harm your liver...

- I had my girlfriend checking up on me every 30 minutes - taking my vitals. It was good practice for her (she is a 3rd year medical student)  :)

Are you with someone else?  That drug is dangerous, myhusband just stop taking it because of all the side effects.  I think you will be fine just don't do it again.

no. my wife takes 200mg 4 x a day

are you aware that tramadol is a mild opiate so actually not taking it is the bigger problem because you get withdrawal symptoms. not excessive but you need to taper the dose to come off it.

i take 400mg of tramadol a day so you should  be ok but don't take anymore.it will make you feel more drowsy than normal and might make you sick.if you are worried contact your local a&e and explain what's happened
