Question:

I have taken up kayaking but the muscles at top of my legs ache fairly quickly. Any exercises to reduce this?

I think it's more they're in an unfamiliar shape.

  1. Keep kayaking. They'll soon get used to it.

  3. im a cyclist and when i first started riding my legs would hurt a lot you just have to keep at it but have rest days every so often.

  4. You're too tense and getting slight cramp.  The tops of your legs are pushing against the inside of the kayak.  Relax a bit, but don't forget to move them around a bit occasionally.

  6. palates is fantastic at working all the muscles you don't normally use. i ride horses and find it really helps me.

    having said that the more you do it the easier it will become.
