I have teeth seperators and I want to know...?

Do they hurt more than the braces themselves? i cant even bite at the moment it hurts too much. and ive also got quite crowded teeth does that make a difference i hope not.

I've got the separators on until wednesday then I'm getting the braces on on wednesday please answer I'm in pain

ok yesterday i just got 8 spacers and braces AGAIN!!! i figured i knew what was coming and guess what i didn't last time i had spacers for a week then they put the brackets on then a week later they put the wires in so now every thing at once i had to miss school i cant even talk no lie that's how much it hurts but yes i believe the spacers hurt more because were the spacers are i cant even touch i am in so much pain my mom called the orthodontist they said try motrin if the Tylenol isn't helping SO good luck

Anything new in your mouth is going to hurt for a bit. Since the spacers/braces will be in there all the time, you will eventually get used to them. The first week is the hardest! Take pain meds to help you through it, and use it as an excuse to eat soft foods like milkshakes.

As for the colored braces, I am not sure how old you are, but most people I know prefer to have their braces as subtle/unnoticeable as possible. If you're young and a lot of your friends have colors, go for whatever you want! But if you're feeling self conscious, go for something like the clear kind.

those things are like so so so painful!

i remember them..

and yeah that can be more painful that braces.. they were for me..

but it depends how much moving the braces are going to be doing for you
