I have the 1000 text messeging plan. but i was wondering do i have to pay for pic/video messeging?

I CALLED ALLTEL && THEY SAID IT IS INCLUDED BUT THEY PROLLY JUST SAY THAT TO GET MONEYY OUT OF ME. SOO PLEASE HELPPP?

  1. Well, if you just have text messaging then you can just text. If you purchase MULTIMEDIA MESSAGING then you can send/receive pictures or videos.


  2. They won't charge you for the message itself, but they may charge you for the data being sent. Check your plan for more information, but often carriers will charge a person in two ways for pic/video messaging: the message itself and the size of the picture/video being sent. They normally charge by the kilobyte, but it isn't unusual for a picture or video message to cost a dollar or more in data charges.

    All of this depends on your carrier...ask them specifically about charges for data when sending picture and video messages.

  3. well i have sprint and it might be the same way but when ever i got a pic message or vid message then it would make me connect to the internet in order to get it and when ever i downloaded the pic or vid from the Internet on my phone it cost me like a certain amount of money depending on the size or the pic or vid. So try to get a pic or vid message and see if it makes u connect to the internet. But i didnt know that when i got myphone and racked up $40 in bills and my parents were pissed
