I have the AVG Anti-Virus Free but is it worth buying the full version?

AVG Anti-Virus is 34.99 (8 out of 10 features)

AVG Internet Security is 54.99 (10 out of 10 features)

AVG has 10 features, and AVG Anti-virus Free only covers 3 features.

After I get my computer cleaned out, and its gonna be as if the day I bought it at the store, I wanna have a protection program for my internet right away.

  3. avg has worked wonders for me. i highly reccomend the full edition.

  4. no , both are worth ____ all,, neither protect you against anything bad, seriously google the worlds best anti virus programs and you shall see AVG come in like 25th lol... kaspersky # 1 nod 32 #2 and symatec /norton a distant 3rd.. feel free to send me an email @ xlx_jesus.saves_xlx@yahoo.com and ill hook you up with at least 6 months of FREE PAID kaspersky anti virus

bye the way your gunna need a tool from grisoft to remove avg 8 as its so crappy that even when done with it and uninstalled its still not completely deleted until u find the registry keys and poof them yourself.now the girsoft removal tool works fast and it easier for most unknowledgable users.

best of luck , please dont give that S___ company any money

  5. Well here is the thing AVG is an OK antivirus it is great and all. but i found that AVAST (avast.com) their free/home version had a lot more features than AVG-free and it was free as well. and it has better protection than AVG. I used Avast for 4 years before i switched to linux (gave up on windows). I used to use AVast along side with www.spywareterminator.com. for a while and nothing got threw they are both Free. and as an added security i used comodo firewall which is also free. google comodo. However After a while i got fed up with windows itself and tried linux for a month now im a full time linux user. I use Pclinuxos / Opensuse / and Ubuntu on 3 diffrent machines at home1 laptop and 2 desktops. Especially when vista came out :S lets not talk about that. ANyhow there is a site that i used to go to to compare Antivirus programs that was called:

    http://www.av-comparatives.org/

when you can check out the latest AV tests ... and Avast always scores better than AVG, its also Free.
