I have the Merchant Starter package, and I want to have a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE SALE, how do I set that up?

I've got the Small Business - Merchant Starteder Package from yahoo, for a small online store I have. Right now I want to have a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Deal, but when you select the particular items, they will still be charged as full price. I don't have the Cross Sell Feature with my service, and I was wondering what other ways I could still hold this sale?

It's primitive, but you could make a hash mark on paper for every sale you make and then use the marks so you can balance your books and account for your inventory at the end of the day.
