I have the Sony HDD SR40 Handy Cam and accidentally deleted the hard drive. How can I recover our videos?

I have not recorded anything else on it at this point. Which recover program is best? The videos are saved in MPeg2 format. One company says it will cost about $1700 for them to recover them for us. I read a question posted a month ago from someone else who also had this problem. How did you recover yours?

  1. You can try one of the undelete/file recovery softwares:

    I'm not sure which program is the best...it's been a while since I had accidently deleted any files [knock on wood]...but most trial version will scan the drive to see what can be recovered.  Good luck.
