I usually don't like large cities, but Dublin seems not too big or crowded - is it? Is it dirty, crowded, and expensive like most large cities? Is Limerick dull or is there a lot to do there? Anyone with experience living in both cities? Is Dublin really that much more expensive than Limerick? Thanks!

  1. Go to Dublin if you want to get mugged, Go to Limerick if you want to get stabbed

  2. dublin  by far would be  better and safer as its the capital city ,of  the country .

    enjoy   your experiences

  3. Dublin is much more expensive than Limerick.

Limerick would have less night life but it is within a short drive/bus of many beautiful locations and you can always come up to Dublin for a weekend.

  4. Dublin would be my choice. Limerick is a  bit less expensive, however, it's not the safest city in Ireland. It is a rough and tumble sort of town and is as fortunate economically as Dublin.

Dublin is lively with lots of things to do and see and for Graduate School, both University College  Dublin and Trinity College are first rate academically.

  5. Dublin is alot more expensive than Limerick, In fact its one of the most expensive cities in Europe.

Limerick is a great place, loads to do and alot of craic!!

    Id go with Limerick

  6. limerick is cheaper to live but has not got the night life it may be a city but still has the country small town feel

Dublin  its not that much more expensive than limerick rent is the most expensive thing but as your a student you can get digs which are pretty cheap every thing else is the same in price in Dublin as limerick

Dublin has more of a student life there are lots of great libraries for you to study in

and lots more clubs and pubs that have student nights

  7. I did an MBA in Dublin at UCD and loved it. I know live in London and Dublin seems like a very small city to me. I love it and could not recommend it more highly. Plus, all my friends from the country including Limerick loved it and proffered it to their home town! Simple live in the burbs for peace but get a pad near the Lewis line or Dart so you can taste the livelier side as and when you want. Go Dublin!
