I desperately want to go to Georgia Tech or MIT, but they both are like...20,000 and 40,000 a year for tuition, while I could go instate for free, but I would so much rather the #1 and #2 school for engineering. I think I have the capabilities, I got a 1360 on SAT, and have a 4.0. I'm president of our thespian troupe, the president of AV Tech club, and publicist for theater company. If you know of anything that will help me (besides just giving me websites like freeweb and cappex) I would be very appreciative. Thank you

  1. It sounds like you have a good enough track record to go for the gold-except you need a co-signer for loans or a miracle from God. Another route to go is just start out at the free thing and and search for a company to work for while going to college that has tuition re-inbursement. The only thing is that most companies will only pay for the cheaper colleges. Reality for you would be either some kind of scholarship (search on- line) or a school loan. Just think about it - you will owe about 200,000 in loans when it's over! Is that dream your seeking worth that? Are you that good? Some people get in that fancy college and end up changing their mind and hating it for whatever reasons they could never knew unless... Visit the school and even talk to people in the hallways. Ask them what they think of the school (pro/cons). You might find you would be happy just where your near to.

Can you be just as successful without that fancy name on your applications? I bet you could.
