I have the idea for the automobile fuel problem, and will do wonders for the pollution problem!?

Question

I have worked in the mechanical field all my life, I have the Idea that will totally eliminate oil imports into this country, my problem, no finance's to develop it, and too afraid to tell anyone what it is. Any ideas?

Don't be afraid. If u continue be afraid then by the time u get the courage to tell others the damage already done to the environment might be irreversible. U need to tell others but be careful not to tell them every detail cause otherwise if u tell them they might go to a patent and say it was their idea. U need to get a patent and go from there.

Tell everyone all about it and save the world. Failure to do so means either that you are too greedy, wanting to keep all the money you expect to make to yourself no matter what the consequences for the world, or that your idea is no good and you are afraid of the ridicule.

You should try to get the process patented, or go to a company and try to sell it to them.

Talk to an attorney/lawyer for more information. That would probably be best.

First thing to do is to try to get a patent.  Where to go from there depends on what the driving source of energy is -- photosynthetic, solar-thermal, solar-electric, atomic, or something else.  In any event, the energy will have to be converted into a hydrocarbon fuel, since such is by far the most efficient way of storing energy that now exists -- and the only form that is conceivably useful for aviation fuel.

Patent it, then go to the EPA and get a grant to develop it.  Or, go to big oil and get them to buy you out.

most likely after you patent it some huge company like GM will buy your patent so that they can extinguish any future hope, so that they can continue making their current profits. it's all about paying off the right people so the huge corporation can stay afloat. and when the fuel problem hits an all time low, and the huge company is sinking, they'll pull a cat out of the bag (your idea)and revolutionize the world with it
