  1. Yeah unless you want to see you brother get reamed and the dog getting returned don't go behind her back. She's said no and she means no. Stop pestering her about it. Secondly you have pets already and don't need any more.

ADD: Your dog has a playmate right now YOU. The fact that she seems bored or lonely proves you aren't paying her enough attention as it is. And I stand by what I said. No means no. and so what if you can pay to get it. Can you pay for its food? Vet visits? training? Toys? Other Gear? No? Then no dog.

  2. Help with what? if your mom says no, she means no! Nobody here will know how to convince her except for you.

I also don't advise going behind her back, otherwise she will defiantly know that you don't respect her.

You should have already been taking care of your pets regardless of you wanting this pup...she sees that.Keep caring for them and one day she might trust that you will be responsible enough.

    Tough..but reality.

    Good luck.

  3. my kids are trying to get me to get another dog for our bulldog so she'll have a play mate but all i see is vet bills, puppies are exspensive and although I love them dearly I don't have the money to shell out for all the shots they need and to get a pup fixed either I'm w/ your mom on No

  4. Listen to your mother.  You can't promise that you'll be able to provide the best care for this dog for the next 15 years.  Who's going to pay for the vet care?  Flea prevention?  Heartworm meds?  Proper food?  Respect your mother and wait until after college when you're in a stable situation.

  5. In all honesty, you have to really think about it. Having a puppy is like taking care of baby. It takes a lot of your time. I love dogs, and I would never want someone to stop wanting one... but REALLY THINK ABOUT IT. They are lots of fun, but lots of patience and time is required to train one. Best of luck to you!
