I would personaly stay away from adrian peterson if you are in a regular league. Look at his numbers towards the end of the season. Plus the vickings have no qb to take the pressure off peterson. Now you did not say if you were in a keeper league if so than by all means take Peterson. If not you can't go wrong with LT solid numbers every year.
