i have the red, white, yellow cords and i was wonder what the converter was called that would me to plug it in to the cable outlet( the one with the pin in the middle)

  1. sheppsm's answer is correct, but the easy way is to use an old VCR. It will do this and is probably a lot cheaper, especially if you buy one at a flea market or garage sale.  The VCR part doesn't need to work just the RF modulator that is built in. If it turns on it should work for what you need.


  2. There might be a much better way of doing this, but you have given us no information to advise you.

    What are the cords coming from? Do you have an A/V input on your TV?

    What are you referring to as "the cable outlet"?

    The type of connector on the red and white and yellow cords is called a RCA connector. It has a center pin. The type of connector that is usually used on an antenna or cable is called a type F connector. It's center pin is much smaller than the RCA.
