  1. To dream that you are falling means that you feel that your life is out of control or out of your control. The reason that a lot of people have them is that a lot of people often feel as if their lives are out of control or being controlled by others. This doesn't mean that you feel this way all of the time, but all of us feel this way a lot. Your just trying to figure things out.

  2. The falling dream, which happens almost immediately after you fall asleep is the most common dream of all. Don't worry, you wont die if you hit the bottom. It has hapened to me dozens of times. Sometimes I've shaken awake so badly that I fall out of bed. Falling dreams usually occur if you are uncertain or anxious about decisions or your surroundings. The reason one shakes as they wake up is because the dream is so jarring that the body has readied itself and is in an almost attack mode or defense mode. Falling dreams can also symbolise a loss of moral grounding, or a crisis of faith.

  3. Provide more specific information, please.

Okay, since I can't figure out how to answer twice, I'm just editing my first answer.

As I understand it, you experience this falling sensation while you're half asleep.

Some people actually TRY to achieve what you're doing by accident every night: For people familiar with the term "lucid dreaming", it's known as the WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) technique.

Lucid dreaming is when you're aware that your dreaming when you dreaming. I mean completely aware. As in, you can recall any memory of yours perfectly and without trouble WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP. You can do whatever you want in a lucid dream, from flying to morphing into an animal to becoming invisible to creating your own dream world to talking to your deceased friend or relative to ANYTHING.

The WILD technique of lucid dreaming is to remain aware during the transition from waking to sleeping. There are several methods for keeping the mind aware while you're going to sleep, just go to the links below. Other techniques all involve recognizing you're dreaming in a dream while you're dreaming, like "hey, wait a minute! Big pink elephants that fly around in circles singing the national anthem don't exist! I'm dreaming!"

All you have to do when what you described happens again is to try to keep your body relaxed, but keep your mind sharp and alert! Don't freak out or anything, even if it seems like your bed is spinning or that you're falling. Also, don't try to move, because you're problably in sleep paralysis. If you're successful, you should see your dream forming around you. for more info, visit the sites below.
