The only place they congregate is on my bathroom counter and sink and on the walls. I have placed ant traps around and they are not attracted to them. It seems they live in the walls or under the cabinet, I'm not sure where they habitat. They are no where else in the house, not even the hall bathroom. They are little black anty looking bugs but a little shorter. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, does anyone else have this problem? What could they be and how do I get rid of them, I spray bleach and bug spray but they return the next day. I had them last summer and some through the winter. I can't take it anymore !!!! I am very clean and with todays economy I can not afford an exterminator to come to my house at this moment. Someone please advize.

Thanks in advance

  1. If you live in a dry climate and they only hang out in your bathroom, it's likely they are there for the water source. (We had centipedes in the bathroom for the same reason.)

Instead of spraying chemicals that will do more damage to your lungs than to the bugs, dry up the water source.

Wipe down the counters after you wash or use the sink so there isn't any standing water for them to drink. If your toilet bowl sweats a little, you can pick up a styrofoam insert at any home improvement store that stops the beads of water that the buggies like to feast on.
