  1. a) Mass 1kg / 1kg = 1

    ===================

    c) Density from the CRC handbook

    air = 0.00161 grams / ml

    Iron= 7.87 g/ml

    density ratio air/iron = 0.00161 air / 7.87 iron = 2.05 e-4

    density ratio iron / air = 7.87 iron / 0.00161 air = 4890

    ==========================

    b) Volume

    iron: 1000 g @1 ml/7.87 g = 127 ml

    air: 1000g @  1ml / 0.00161 g = 621,000 ml

    volume ratio : air/iron = 621,000 / 127 = 4890

    volume ratio : iron to air = 127 / 621000 = 2.05e-4

  2. that will always one.. you don't have to learn chemistry for that.. just go through class 2 math book once!
