Every morning when I wake up and stand up out of bed, my vision will start to turn green and then quickly get darker, sometimes it even turns black and I can't see anything at all. I feel like I'm going to fall and I'm not completely there in my mind. I can think clearly but I feel weird.

Once my vision did turn very green and then to black and I fainted, right after I woke up.

Another time (more recent) it was in the morning, I got up out of a chair and started to walk, but my vision darkened to black, I didn't pass out, but then I found myself banging my head against our hutch 10 steps away. My mom was trying to get me to stop, and I was telling myself too in my mind but I couldn't. I didn't even feel myself walking and it was so scary.

I took blood tests recently and its nothing to do with my blood sugar, or blood cell count.

And when I did an Echocardiogram (or whatever) it turned out my heart beat is a little slower than normal.

What is this? If you experience the same thing PLEASE TELL ME! Please help.

  1. Do you have low blood pressure? I had this problem as a teen I even had some of those side effects. It is a lack of oxygenated blood flowing to the brain which in turn deprives the retinas of the oxygen they need to function properly. Try getting yourself on a good exercise routine and a regulated diet. Try drinking more fluids this always helps me in the hot seasons when I get dehydrated and my blood pressure is bottoming out. Good luck

  2. I would go with the english teacher on this question, apart from saying also that this could happen later in life as well

  3. your getting up too fast. you haven't given your body and mind a chance to adjust. This happens to me all the time, more so when I was in highschool and would jump up out of bed. Now I relax a bit before fully getting up. Think of it like this, sort of like your eye balls adjusting to light when its dark or bright!

  4. That happens to me too (everything turns black when u get up). Its cuz ur getting up too fast. About the 2nd situation, I think u might (keyword) have epilepsy.

  5. Low blood pressure. When you stand up your blood pressure drops, causing the darkness in your vision. I'd just be more careful getting up. When you wake up in the morning, slowly sit up first, then put your feet on the floor, then slowly stand up. I had this problem when I was young, and it passed over time.

  6. I don't want to frighten you but this really isn't normal...have you gone to an optician? Because if you haven't you need to...your case seems very unusual, which means it will be even harder to treat it. These kind of things have a tendency to get worse so it should be sorted out straight.

However, it sounds like you've already tried that, but maybe you could look into laser eye surgery...they could probably correct it for you.

These days it's not too expensive and it's totally worth it.

But you might have to save up a little.

I hope everything turns out OK!

  7. Start consulting  with a Doctor, I think that is Som thing that is only a doctor can diegnose to you.

  8. DOCTORS!!!! It's not blood sugar problem

Blood pressure - MRI, CT exams (brain, head)

  9. That's really scary.

    I'm sorry. :[

  10. i have had days, when i will raise up and my head it'll do that but then i am better, i have noticed though, the night before i will have no dreams

  11. It is possible that you have Vertigo. Go back to your doctor and get more tests done. Get your iron and thyroid checked out. It may also be anemia.
