I started to have this dream after my mom passed away. That was four years ago. The dream is so real. I wake up thinking that I have died because I said the word. Of course I don't know what the word is but wake up scared to death. The dream is so real that I am never quite sure if I am dreaming or living.

  1. I just spent the last few minutes thinking deeply about how it would feel to be having that dream and why it could persist and how to resolve it.  I was thinking what I would do to try to bring resolution to whatever feeling it is could be continually provoking this idea.  I can envision the terror and probably the main overwhelming and difficult to get over aspect of it all which I believe is the sheer mysteriousness of the whole situation.   The fact that you don't dare to possibly explore past a certain point and that point then becomes the sticking point that leads to the reoccurence.

I think that the only way to get past this is going to be to press onward to whatever possible points there could be in this dream to which you haven't already been.  I feel like what I would do would be to, in my waking mind, make absolutley every intention in my being to want to say the word the next time I had the dream, and to come to the conclusion that I am not afraid of what will happen if I do.  And if I don't know the word, then it will be my highest goal to learn it, and then say it.  And if I die as a result then that's just ok and I'm willing to accept that.

I believe that you know that you won't die if you say the word in your dream, and for that reason you can feel confident in looking to face it with such ferocity.

I think that this dream which is about death was certainly aroused by the closeness to death that you experienced with the passing of your mother and I'm sure you feel that way too, but I think that this has just turned into a self-perpetuating riddle and once you explore it deep enough, will no longer be of any interest to your subconscious.

  2. Have you prayed for your mother, asked that she be forgiven and rest in peace?  Have you conducted yourself in a manner befitting a reward in the afterlife for the woman who bore you?  See good children  reward their dead parents as the parent's investment has proven fruitful. You mention that this all began after your mother's passing (God have mercy on her) A most telling point.  There is a soul not resting in peace. a spirit not at rest. The mourning must stop.  Good words should be spoken.  The dead can hear the living you know.  Give prayer, be forgiving.  You are experiencing what can be experienced during the struggle with death.  Sleep is as close as we can get to death and the soul does leave the body.  This is a spirit filled with fear and uncertainty. Pray. Pray.  Find hope and faith and you'll be fine.  Pray to the Lord for your mother.  There is a soul uneasy somewhere.

    Regards

  3. Hm that's interesting. If I were you, I would try writing clues or anything I could remember about the dream. With enough information about the dream, you could probably find out what that certain word is. I dont know if it'll help, but its worth a shot.
