I have this strange twitch thing...?

Around a year or so ago, I started to do this weird thing where I twitch. I'll just be sitting down or something, and it's like, I shudder and then shrug my shoulders and then my head kind of tilts towards my shoulder all at the same time. It gets a lot worse when I'm in public places. I'm wondering if anyone has a reason why this might happen (other than Tourette's, I've gotten that answer before - I don't think that I have Tourette's).

Parkinson's disease is like that, but it also happens to normal people for no apparent reason. Petit mal seizures (mild epilepsy) can also cause something like that.

If you are really concerned, go for tests. But if it doesn't interfere with your day-to-day life, just ignore it.

Hi,have you been attacked before or anything bad like that?Also worse in public,you are more conscious of it.Have you seen a Dr about it?You may have a pinched nerve somewhere,maybe see a Acupuncture Dr. Good luck.

I hate to say it.... but I still think it's tourettes.

If you say it isn't because you don't swear, that doesn't mean anything.  Relatively few people with tourettes actually swear.

If it isn't tourettes, it could be a simple transient tic, which will go away in time.  Or perhaps a tic disorder, which means the same tic will stay with you throughout life.
