I have this terrible cough that only reveals itself at night time before and during my rest.?

No other symptoms just that. Just think it's kind of peculiar but, cough meds help.What do you think it could be?

When you lie down fluids that normally would drain elsewhere are now trying to go down your trachea, you cough to prevent this from occuring.

Take your medicine that works about 20 minutes earlier than normal to prevent these secretions from bothering you.

It could be asthma.

One of my daughters will be fine all day long,then come time to go to bed, she will cough her head off for hours.
