I have this weird hip pain. Help please!?

I have this really weird hip pain.

It's always there, and it only hurts when I walk or use my legs (when I am sitting I'm fine)

After I run my track events for about a day it starts killing me, and then it starts dying down, but it never completely goes away, and the same thing happens when I run (sprints especially) during track.

What should I do?

Will pain relievers help at all or is this different?

Should I apply a heat pack or a cold pack?

How can I make it permanently go away?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I had a weird hip pain too and yea u wanna ice 20 on 20 off but also laydown on a couch and have someone push your knees to the opposite shoulder for 30 seconds 3 times a day

  2. physiotherapy for 10 days will help.

  3. icing 20 mins on 20 off is always a good way to start

  4. It's difficult to answer this without more information of where the pain is localized.  Is it the hip flexor?  How's your stretching routine both before and after your run?
