carpet stain remover.  you can purchase it at any hardware store.

I really had good results with woolite carpet stain remover but I'm sure there are several good ones out there.  If you have a steam cleaner that would work best.

It is probably one of two things: orange juice or pee. Either way, use OxiClean which you can purchase at any grocery store or Walmart.

Mix a very hot water solution of OxiClean, squirt it over the stain, then blot, blot, blot. It doesn't matter how old the stain is, OxiClean will make it disappear.

Make sure you get all the mositure out, though, otherwise the stain will reappear. I use a steam cleaner to suck out excess moisture, but you can achieve the same result by blotting...put you wieght into it.

Oxyclean worked well on stains on my light beige carpet.  Real easy to use and works quickly.  I used the one especially made for carpets.  The bottle was blue plastic and the label  was red.
