I have three male guppies in a 28l tank how many females can i get

281 tank is good size tank for guppies,,I wold take 10 or 15 of them.

If you want to breed get at least a 50-70L tank. In 28L you will be overstocked come the first spawn, its too small to breed successfully.

if the guppies are of general quality 1 male to 6 females is a good ratio as some of the females will be infertile.  if the guppies are of great quality 1 male to 2 or 3 females is advised as you will want to keep track of who produces what litter and then cull or add as needed to produce the best strain that you can.  breeding guppies is a great thing to do and if you keep good records and seperate the litters you can in a few rounds create great guppies.  be aware that the females can hold sperm for up to three spawns.  these are one of the greatest gifts given to fish lovers, guppies are great.....
