I have tiagra sti 9 speed shifter with shimano tiagra front Derailleur.....?

I want to upgrade to ultegra, now what shifter do i need and front Derailleur and what crankset to go with it.

Your help will be hightly appreciated.

  1. Tom is correct... you'd be much better off going for the entire Ultegra group. The performance difference between Tiagra and Ultegra is vast.


  2. I Honestly wouldn't know, techy talk with brands isn't the best kinda question on here, unless someone knows ALLOT about the brands and makes of stuff.

    my suggestion to you however is to hit your local bike shop in town and speak with them, or, even, call them.

    The employees their can usually help you allot more than someone online!

  3. You won't *need* a new crankset, but Ultegra is now 10 speed, so if you want Ultegra shifters, you *might* need to buy a 10speed derailleur. Will will however need a10sp Cassette and 10sp Chain. Quite costly...

    Cheaper to buy a whole Ultegra Groupset off of a website. You can go on to sell the parts you don't need from it.
