Question:

I have tiger barbs and i think one is going to have babies will they eat them?

if i have alot of hiding places will the babies be safe if not what do i do?

  1. When my black guppies had babies (All three occasions, we had quite a farm!), we had to get a cheap, net-like divider for them. Yes, the parent's do occasionally eat them if the divider is not in place. Careful though, the parents have TONS of children.


  2. I think they might.   From what I've read, after they lay the eggs, you should move the parent fish out of the tank before they start eating them.  They might be safe if you have alot of plants for the eggs / babies to hide, but I think you'd be taking a chance.
