i know dish network has a dvr but i really don't want to get rid of my tivo.

  1. TiVo series 2 works will with Dish Network.  Please be very careful not to get the Dish Network DVR; their hardware is total c**p.


  2. I'd go with the dvr it's easier than making sure the tivo is working just do the dish dvr
