  1. its TMJ. I think I might have it tooo. I just did research on it. A bit.

    here is somethings

moist heat or cold packs on the face, vitamin supplements and exercise.

Somethings you can do to HElp it

    1. Avoid hard and chewy foods like nuts and steak.

    2. Avoid chewing gum.

    3. Learn relaxation techniques to help loosen the jaw and the rest of your body.

    4. Maintain good posture when sitting and standing.

    5. Relax your facial muscles throughout the day.

    6. Drink plenty of water and get ample sleep.

    7. Apply warm compresses on the face for twenty minutes daily.

    8. Use anti-inflammatory medications such as Tylenol or Motrin.

    9. Keep your TMJ in a good position, with your teeth slightly apart and lips together. To    maintain this position, keep your tongue at the top of the mouth and breathe through your nose.

  2. i have tmj mine did the same thing....i went through a surgery that didnt help and then i went to the dentist and he had these mouth pieces for the top teeth that align your jaw back. my best advice would be to go check out some dentists or google a tmj dentist around your area. as far as pain right now just try advil and a hot wash cloth

also get a massage! it works GREAT!

  3. It's medical not dental... It's your jaw not teeth.

You really need to go see a specialist.

My jaw locked like yours as well... The disc that sits between the upper and lower jaw joint is stuck in the forward position which is causing the jaw to lock....It "could" snap back but as for me mine did not -- They had me do stretches to basically shove it all the way forward and out of the way...For the record... eat popsciles and hold the end ofthe popcicle on the back if your jaw for some releif....Also, you'll be able to stretch better.

Also - you can massage the jaw muscles to ease up on the spasm which is also holding your jaw shut....On the outside of your jaw Rub just below your ear all the way down...

And if you can get your fingers into your mouth -- relax your jaw and place your thumb in the back of your mouth up near the ear - You'll feel a really thick muscle -- getley squeeze & pull the muscle downward with your thumb (inside) and your pointer finger (outside).. repeat several times....

  4. Wow... seek out a dentist.

  5. TABBY,

ONLY A DENTIST CAN HELP YOU. YOU NEED AN NTI BRUXISM APPLIANCE TO FINALLY HELP YOUR JAW RELAX. SEE THE LINKS BELOW.
