  1. Well in my experience with those woofers.  They are very nice woofers and they sound great if you hook them up right.  The only down side is if you even give those woofers slightly to much power they have a tendancy to pop.  If you dont mind the price Rockfard Fosgates power series T600-2 would be the perfect amp.  IF you look at the specs on it, it doesnt seem like enough power, but take my advice their power series amps are very well known for being underrated, which means you will get a lot more power out of it than the specs say, because their amps put out pure power, with a very low distortion rate.

  2. that's rms not srm

you need 500 rms per subwoofer to get the best out of them but you can go up to 550 per sub but try not to get below 350 because that's less than 70 % of their rated power level

  3. You can use any amp that has a CEA Power rating of 800 to 1000 rms at 1 ohms or 4 ohms.

Your subs are duel 4 ohms and this is a small problem.  A 1000 watt class a/b amp will be pretty expensive and a class D mono amp that works at 1 ohms will get hot.

there are 3 amps that will work at 1 ohm and not get hot.

JL1000.1 (500-800$), Alpine PDX1000.1 (500-800$) and Kenwood 9104D(270), a few others that are 1 ohm stable or regulated (made to give same power ar 2 or 1 ohm)

Kenwood 9104 is one of my favorite amps for your application (mono block 900rms at 1 ohms) .  Its not expensive and gives good power for your dollar.   Full msrp is 270 and a shop will give it to you over the counter Cash $220-240 easy.

But really any amp that is Mono Block 800 watts rms to 1000 rms at 4 or 1 ohm will work (note that it must be 4 or 1 ohm because you have duel 4 ohm subs)

  4. You don't "need" any particular size amplifier.  And your power handling will double IF you are running your VCs in parallel AND the drivers in parallel.  If for some reason you were running the drivers in series, they would still have a power handling of 500 wrms combined.  I'm sure you'll be running them in parallel though.

As far as how much power to run, you only need as much power as you need to get the volume you're looking for.  There's nothing wrong with running less power.  Just make sure you set the gains on your amplifier correctly regardless what size amp you get.  Check out HiFonics, Massive Audio and Kicker amplifiers just to name a couple.

  5. 800 to a 1000
