  1. i believe that everything happens for a reason even though i'm scared good and bad outcomes because you never know which one will pop out on you

  2. Yep I believe the universe works in concert to make me miserable and so for it's working. No I do not think things happen for a reason I mean if you look hard enough you can find a reason for anything and everything.

  3. I believe everything happens for a reason, except for those times I don't, which doesn't bother reason but makes me happy, which, ironically, is reason enough to not believe.

Try to think that thought thrice.

  4. if u think abt it, its true because some things are/arent meant to be,

so things happen to prevent or make that thing happen, abit confusing =s

  5. Ever since i watched the episode of scrubs where Nurse Laverne said "I believe everything happens for a reason" That really made me think.

  6. From Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog:

    PENNY: Everything happens...

BILLY: Don't say 'for a reason'...

PENNY: No, I was just saying, 'everything happens.'

  7. No,life is just happenstance. You can no more change events, than you can control the sea or winds!

  8.   Anything that happens is a product of the present so yes it does need a reason.

  9. No. I believe there are many many many things your concious self can do to change things in your life for the better or for the worse and are aware of doing. They don't just 'happen' for a reason. It's your choice to make them 'happen'.

  10. I like to believe that everything happenED BECAUSE of a reason.  But then again, if you think about it, I guess there's no difference between the two.

  11. Uh, duh? The laws of this Universe work by the principle of causality. One thing happens, and that thing sets of another thing, that leads to a big chain, or rather, web, of reactions. Even the mind is subject to these principles; they're just on the scale of chemical reactions.  If that's what you mean, then yes, I believe everything happens "for a reason." If you mean, do I believe in fate, or destiny?....That's a little more complicated. If you take the causality view as I do, then yeah, everything's gonna happen the way it was set off by initial conditions. But there's no pseudo-meta-physical force at work here, nor divine intervention. We are mostly in control of our lives. Freewill is also an illusion, but it's a h**l of a lot more relevant than nihilism, so I'm happy to buy into it.

So to clarify, that's a YES to causality, a NO to fate.

  12. I have went by that all of my life.  Good or bad, EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

  13. Only sometimes.

  14. im not sure, they may just happen.........

you are supposed to look for the good in every thing that happens they say,

even if you have some sort of lesson  .

.how you acted or who you helped or any thing you can find good..

.like the pearl in every  sand storm

    but im not sure.....

  15. I say yes!!!!!!!!!!!!   I had a broken engagement.  I thought it was the end of the world.  Met my husband 3 months later and have been happily married for 12 years.  I had a something else fall through and a little while something better came along so I agree.  Things happen for a reason.  God has a bigger plan for us.

  16. It's nice to believe that, especially when you've been dealt a bad hand but it's not always so.

  17. Some things seem to happen for no reason and we desperately try and find one to justify why. Some things we bring on ourselves and sometimes we are just in the wrong place at the wrong time but whatever it's what we make of it all and learn and hope that it will make us stronger and better people.

  18. Everything happens for a reason.  As to whether this reason is part of some divine plan, I have my doubts.  When a loved one passes away, one of the worst things to hear is "everything happens for a reason."  I know that it's meant to sound comforting, but really, are we supposed to think "oh, I never thought about it that way, I guess God is trying to test me by KILLING MY MOTHER.  THANK YOU A LOT MR. SYMPATHIZER, MY TEARS ARE DRYING ALREADY."

  19. I do believe we all have a purpose for being here.  As long as we follow a Faith to guide us, everything that happens does serve us.  We may not always understand, we may NEVER understand, but, I believe everything that happens can teach us a lesson.

  20. not everything sometimes things turn to be happens for some reason

  21. Some people believe this, some people don't.  I happen to be hemming and hawing about it.  I believe that God does certain things to us to help us grow and achieve more, but I don't think he has everything planned out exactly to be what clothing we wear on February 12, 2018.

  22. Everything happens at the Will of Allah

  23. I believe even the smallest things that happen in our day-to-day lives can make the biggest differences.  If you haven't ever seen the film Sliding Doors then please watch it cos that's where I'm coming from.  I reckon we can make choices that take us down completely different paths in life, but that some things will never go past us - some things were meant to be no matter what choices we make.

  24. why do you have to believe? is someone forcing their belief's upon you?

to a certain extent yes though, i kind of believe in fate, just because of personal experiences, and how many times i should of died and havnt. i think there is going to a time and a place for me.

in terms of everything... hmm well i like the theory that the universe is a delicate design of events led by decisions, choices, or dedicated paths (like A or B or 0 and 1) and that in someway everything is interconnected.

in others ways of thinking about it, it depends what you mean by reason... as the aspect of 'reason' is man made in the first place.

you could mean an event that leads to a cause and result, or things could get a whole lot deeper and philosophical, and i am really too tired to try and type that stuff up right now...maybe later, anyway hope this was relevant

  25. You don't HAVE to believe that.

Well, i believe everything does happen for a reason.

  26. Sometimes....i feel like there have been times in mylife when i didnt have control something higher did, but other times when i hear of a child dying or something...i think how could that have been "meant to be"  but maybe i just cant see how it all works.....

  27. yes i do believe that everything happens for a reason

...doing something can lead to another to another...which then can bring you to the reason for why that one thing happened in the frist place...

  28. Yes. The problem with such thinking is that most times one is not able to see how such is possible. It's difficult to think on irrational/ chaotic concepts having a purpose, but that's how it is, at times.

  29. No,

I believe some things just happen for no reason whatsoever,

    =]

  30. Maybe not everything, but yes I do agree most things are predestined to occur until we learn the lesson.

  31. Not necessarily because some things in life just don't happen like that. There's not much you can say though.
