You may go to the below site for an online booking.  for this you may need a credit card or internet banking offered by most of the banks.  For this you have to register youself, which is very simple and go ahead.

You have to register here, its free.

Once done login and choose your source, destination, date, class and ticket type.

i-ticket: Normal railway ticket will be delivered to your address in 3 days.

e-ticket: You can take a printout of the ticket and booking is open till chart preparation.

You will be shown a list of trains.

Choose one and fill in the details.

Pay using your Credit card or bank account.

Done.
